Project | Nexus Nepal

This commercial pavilion is designed for the Swiss startup WeConnex. The structure consists of a water shop; it’s main function, and three rental rooms for other commercial and non-commercial activities. The company required a flexible, low-cost pavilion that can be easily constructed and replicated in Nepal, South Asia. The spatial requirement, in addition to modularity, was to create an easily adjustable and extendable space, depending on the economic opportunities of the company and the local tenants.

The hexagonal geometry of the structure is based on a modular construction system that is easy to construct and multiply. This makes the system perfectly suited to growing businesses of all kinds of trades. The major structural and non-structural elements (columns, walls, centralized house technique and wet areas) render the building flexible and responsive to local needs. Back to project slide view
